As the journey continues, he will recapitulate the growth of the industry on an international strata; developing the global requirements to achieve the optimum high-skilled workforce through education, experience, and of course, design.

GAN AARON

ASSOCIATE
Project Manager

Gan Aaron (M.wREGA) majored in Multimedia Design (TARC) and Digital Media Design (LJMU), before leaving post-house MFX to be an educator. Graduated as first cohort from both institution, concerns toward students’ learning experience had led him to create several course initiatives during his early years in design education. Constantly searching for possibilities, he went on to volunteer for Make-Condition Design / thinklab as an Agent of Change partaking in design events; MAKMAL© Series and DesignLab©, while managing online appearance and creating a digital archive for the organisation.

Between teaching and volunteering, Aaron founded the idea of RenderBox and a year later ARC | HIVE as a platform for design educator and students to collaborate in design. Craving for greater challenges, he worked alongside the team behind VGA Fest 2013 as its Operations Manager, and volunteered for Graphic Design Association of Malaysia (wREGA) as Webmaster and Archivist. He is currently a lecturer / software instructor with an emerging art & design faculty, at the same time serving as wREGA’s Honorary Secretary while enjoying the learning curve on project management.

As a practitioner, designer, educator, and now an associate with Zachary Haris Ong, Aaron commits to manage creative projects by providing an utmost value on clients’ demand for a professional and quality design service. He believes that a client + designer relationship depends its entirety on communication, whereas smaller goals are mere untapped potentials of bigger visions. “…from the emptiness and nothingness, create that possibility”, he was once told.

Someone once asked, “How do you make people do impossible things?”. “They need not know that it’s impossible at first.”, was his answer.
